Removing Bones From Chicken

Hi,

Does anyone have any tips for removing bones from chicken brests? I can do it but it gets very messy and takes quite a while, so I usually end up buying boneless brests to save time although this gets quite pricey. The problem I have is that the pieces always end up different sizes, so some end up cooking quicker than others. I know that to a certain extent this is unavoidable, but I'm sure someone reading this is better than I am, so if you wouldn't mind sharing a tip or 2 that would be great.

Cheers.

If you break the breast in half snapping the middle bone you can pretty much pull them out in one piece. You need to cut the skin or something around the middle bone.
Otherwise get it done how you can.

Are you talking about just deboning the breast itself, or deboning the entire chicken? If its just the breast, I'd say just stick with boneless. If you shop around, they cost pretty much the same. If its the whole chicken, the steps are totally different.

if you go to a meat market you can ask the meat cutter to do it for you. with the boneless lthighs, breasts, and legs around these days i see no sense in boning. also if you want yyou can cook and then debone. it's a heck of a lot quicker and easierplus the bones make the meat have a good flavor
